First appearance : The Fantastic Four #1 (1961)
In 1961 Stan Lee and Jack Kirby launched the Fantastic Four — a bickering family instead of perfect idols — and with it the entire modern Marvel Universe. It was the big bang of the 'Marvel Age' of comics.
