First appearance : The Tomb of Dracula #10 (1973)

Marv Wolfman of Brooklyn and artist Gene Colan (family name originally Cohen) created Blade the vampire hunter in 1973. The 1998 Blade film trilogy proved Marvel heroes could carry blockbusters — paving the road to the MCU. Colan also co-created the Falcon and Carol Danvers.
