Harold Levine was an American mathematician and physicist, a professor at Stanford University from 1955, who earlier co-authored a widely cited series of papers on diffraction theory with the physicist Julian Schwinger. Educated at the City College of New York and Cornell, he later worked in singularity theory and differential topology. He was Jewish and appears on reference lists of Jewish physicists and mathematicians.
