Arthur Isadore Fine is an American philosopher of physics and of science, professor emeritus at the University of Washington. He is best known for the Natural Ontological Attitude (NOA), which urges taking scientific results at face value without committing to either metaphysical realism or antirealism, and for influential studies of the interpretation of quantum mechanics and of Einstein's philosophy. He was raised in a Jewish family.
