Zvika Brakerski is recognized among Israeli contributors to Technology & Engineering — Israeli pioneer of fully homomorphic encryption — computing on encrypted data; Gödel Prize (2022)
Brakerski, an Israeli cryptographer at the Weizmann Institute, built foundational schemes for fully homomorphic encryption — allowing computation to be performed directly on encrypted data without decrypting it — making practical, second-generation FHE possible. With Craig Gentry and Vinod Vaikuntanathan he shared the Gödel Prize in 2022.
