Steven Isserlis

Steven Isserlis is a British classical cellist of Jewish heritage—his family descends from the eminent rabbi and legal scholar Moses Isserlis of Kraków—celebrated internationally as one of the leading cellists of his generation and admired for his historically informed, expressive playing. He is also a noted author of children's books about composers and a devoted chamber musician. He performs and records across the concerto and chamber repertoire worldwide.
