Nir Zohar is recognized among Jewish contributors to Technology & Engineering — President and COO of Wix since 2007, and its chairman since 2025; a Jewish Agency emissary in North America and South Africa before he had ever run a business.
Nir Zohar served in the Israeli Navy, coordinated a tribe in the Scouts, and then went out as an emissary on behalf of the Jewish Agency in North America and South Africa — which is the sourced statement this card rests on, and it is a route in its own right. He met Avishai Abrahami at thirteen, through his older brother Dror, who had served with Abrahami in Unit 8200. In 2007 Abrahami asked him to come and help for a short while at a startup founded the year before; Zohar joined as chief operating officer with no business background at all, having started and abandoned four different degrees.
He became president of Wix after the 2013 NASDAQ listing and its chairman in 2025, and is one of the two people who actually run the company day to day.
