How & why
Mordehai Milgrom is an Israeli physicist at the Weizmann Institute of Science who in 1983 proposed Modified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND), a hypothesis that adjusts gravity at very low accelerations as an alternative to dark matter for explaining galaxy rotation. MOND remains a widely discussed idea in astrophysics. He is Jewish and Israeli.
