How & why

Jonas Cohn was a German neo-Kantian philosopher of the Baden (Southwest German) school who worked on aesthetics, logic and the theory of values, teaching at Freiburg. Born into a German Jewish family, he was stripped of his post under the Nazis and emigrated to England in 1939. His writings on aesthetics and general axiology influenced the philosophy of value in the early twentieth century.
