Isidor Pavlovich Natanson was a Swiss-born Soviet mathematician known for his contributions to real analysis and constructive function theory and, above all, for his influential textbooks — especially 'Theory of Functions of a Real Variable' — that trained generations of mathematicians. He founded the Leningrad school of constructive function theory. He is included in scholarly listings of Jewish mathematicians.
