Harlan Coben

Harlan Coben was born on 4 January 1962 into a Jewish family in Newark, New Jersey, and raised in Livingston. He studied at Amherst College and writes mysteries and thrillers built on a single idea: that something buried in the past resurfaces and will not stay settled. He created the sports-agent detective Myron Bolitar, and became the first author to win all three of the Edgar, Shamus and Anthony awards, taking the Anthony in 1996 and the Edgar and Shamus in 1997. Twelve of his novels have been adapted for film and television, and his books have been translated into more than forty languages.
