Gustav Bucky was a radiologist who invented the anti-scatter grid, known as the Bucky grid or Potter–Bucky diaphragm, which sharply improved the clarity of X-ray images and became standard in diagnostic radiology. He also collaborated with Albert Einstein on an inventions. He was Jewish, born to a Jewish family in Leipzig and emigrated to the United States.
