The Ghermezians are a Canadian business family of Iranian Jewish origin. Jacob Ghermezian, an activist for the Jewish community in Iran, brought his wife Miryam and their four sons — Eskander, Nader, Raphael and Bahman — to Canada in 1960. The family are Orthodox Jews and founded Orthodox schools and synagogues, among them the Edmonton Menorah Academy in 1983. Through Triple Five they built the three largest shopping centres in North America: West Edmonton Mall, the Mall of America and American Dream.
