George Nemhauser

Nemhauser is an American operations researcher, a leading figure in integer programming whose textbooks and theory shaped the field and whose methods are applied to problems from airline scheduling to logistics; he shared the 2012 John von Neumann Theory Prize and was the first to win the Lanchester Prize twice. He is an institute professor at Georgia Tech and a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
