Laurence Wolsey

Laurence A. Wolsey is a Belgian-British mathematician and a leading authority on integer programming, whose textbooks and research on polyhedral theory and cutting planes shaped both the theory and practice of discrete optimization; he shared the 2012 von Neumann Theory Prize. He directed the Center for Operations Research and Econometrics at Louvain. He is listed among Jewish recipients of the von Neumann Theory Prize in Jewish biographical references.
