Evelyn Berezin was an American computer designer who built one of the first computerized airline reservation systems and, in 1971, the Data Secretary — widely regarded as the first true word processor. Born in the Bronx to Belarusian Jewish immigrant parents, she founded the Redactron Corporation to manufacture her invention and was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame.
