Mikhail Gurevich was a Soviet aircraft designer of Jewish origin, co-founder with Artem Mikoyan of the Mikoyan-Gurevich design bureau, the 'G' in the famous MiG name. He helped design the MiG-1 and MiG-3 fighters and led work on early Soviet jet fighters through the Mach-3 MiG-25. His aircraft were among the most important in Soviet aviation history.
