Dorit Rabinyan

Rabinyan is an Israeli novelist whose bestselling books explore identity, family and love across cultural and political divides, most famously 'All the Rivers' (Borderlife), which became a national controversy when it was excluded from an Israeli high-school syllabus. She descends from a Persian-Jewish family, a heritage she drew on in her earlier novels 'Persian Brides' and 'Strand of a Thousand Pearls'. She is an Israeli Jew.
