Árpád Weisz was a Hungarian football player and one of the most successful coaches of the interwar era. He led Internazionale to the Italian league title in 1930 and won two further Serie A championships with Bologna, pioneering modern tactical and training methods. A Jew, he was dismissed under Italy's 1938 racial laws, fled abroad, and was deported and murdered at Auschwitz in 1944 with his family.
