How & why
Willian Fellner (usually spelled William Fellner) was a Hungarian-American economist and Sterling Professor at Yale who wrote influentially on oligopoly, competition and inflation and later served on the U.S. Council of Economic Advisers. He was born into a Jewish family in Budapest and emigrated to the United States in 1938; his Encyclopaedia Judaica entry documents his Jewish background.
