Ronitt Rubinfeld is an American-Israeli computer scientist at MIT and Tel Aviv University who co-founded the fields of property testing and sublinear-time algorithms — methods that let a computer draw reliable conclusions about huge datasets without examining all of the data. She was born in Ohio to an American father and an Israeli mother and is of Jewish heritage. She is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and a Guggenheim Fellow.
