Peter Kirstein is recognized among Jewish contributors to Technology & Engineering — Computer & information scientist

How & why

German-born British computer scientist, often called the 'father of the European Internet.' He made the first international connection to the ARPANET in 1973, helped Vint Cerf and Bob Kahn define and implement TCP/IP, and founded the computer science department at University College London. His Jewish family fled Nazi Germany for Britain in 1937; he was inducted into the Internet Hall of Fame.
