Peter Gacs

Péter Gács is a Hungarian-American mathematician and computer scientist at Boston University known for foundational work on Kolmogorov complexity, algorithmic randomness, and reliable computation, including a fault-tolerant one-dimensional cellular automaton disproving the positive-rates conjecture.
