Mozes Lewenstein

Mozes J. Lewenstein was a pharmacologist who, with Jack Fishman, first synthesized the opioid antagonist naloxone in 1960 and holds the founding patent (with Fishman) issued in 1961; naloxone (Narcan) later became the standard emergency antidote that reverses opioid overdose and has saved countless lives.
