Giora Kaplan

Giora Kaplan is one of the four founders of Wix and was its chief technology officer: the early architecture of the platform was his. He came into the group through the circle of army friends around Dror Zohar, and in 2006 started the company in Tel Aviv with Avishai and Nadav Abrahami and Dr Orit Mossinson. What they built was a website editor that asks nothing of the person using it — no code, no design training, no money to begin with — and it has since carried more than 180 million sites in some 190 countries.

No source states his Jewish identity in so many words: an Israeli founder's biography has no reason to mention it. He is here under the Israeli presumption the site adopted on 7 September 2026 — a Hebrew given name and surname, a life in Israel, and a strong attested tie — which is a presumption and not a declaration, and which any contrary source overturns.
