Marvin Simon

Marvin K. Simon was an American telecommunications engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory who spent four decades on modulation, coding and synchronization for deep-space and satellite communications, and authored foundational texts on digital communication over fading channels. He held 11 patents and numerous NASA awards, and his methods were applied to many spacecraft missions. He is listed among Jewish computer and information scientists by the Jinfo project.
