How & why

Lachmann was a German-born economist and important contributor to the Austrian School, known for emphasizing radical subjectivism, the role of expectations and the capital structure, and for helping catalyze the 1970s Austrian revival alongside Kirzner and Rothbard. He fled Nazi Germany in 1933, worked at the LSE, and became a professor at the University of the Witwatersrand. He was born to a Jewish family and was Jewish.
