Thomas Balogh, Baron Balogh, was a Hungarian-born British economist, Fellow of Balliol College, Oxford, and a leading economic adviser to Harold Wilson's Labour governments, later a life peer in the House of Lords. He came from a wealthy Budapest Jewish family and settled in Britain, becoming a naturalized citizen in 1938.
