Lahav Shani is an Israeli conductor and pianist, music director of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Rotterdam Philharmonic, and among the most celebrated conductors of his generation. He was appointed to lead the Munich Philharmonic, and has been chief conductor designate of major European ensembles. He is an Israeli Jew.
