How & why

Polgár is the strongest female chess player in history: a grandmaster at 15 (1991), she was the only woman ever to reach the world's top ten and defeated many world champions in classical play. She was raised in a Hungarian Jewish family, part of her father László Polgár's famous educational experiment with his three daughters.
