Judd Marmor was an American psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who was a leading force in the 1973 decision to remove homosexuality from the American Psychiatric Association's diagnostic manual, and he was elected APA president that same year. Born in London to a Jewish family that emigrated to Chicago in 1912, he was Jewish.
