Albert Paul Weiss was a German-American psychologist and, at Ohio State University, one of the influential group who argued for an objective, natural-science approach to behaviourism, holding that psychology reduces ultimately to physics while stressing the role of social factors in human behaviour. His family emigrated from Germany to St. Louis. He is included as Jewish in the Encyclopaedia Judaica.
