Gabriel Pinski

Pinski was an American information scientist known for the 1976 paper with Francis Narin that introduced the Pinski–Narin 'influence weights,' a recursive, eigenvector-based measure of journal prestige. That method anticipated the logic later used in Google's PageRank algorithm and remains foundational in bibliometrics. He is listed among Jewish computer and information scientists in Jewish biographical reference works; further biographical documentation is limited.
