Gabriel Macht

Gabriel Macht is an American actor, born in the Bronx, New York City, in 1972 and raised in California from the age of five. He played the lawyer Harvey Specter in all 134 episodes of the USA Network legal drama Suits (2011-2019), after film roles including The Good Shepherd and The Spirit. The documented basis of his Jewish identity is his family: his father, the actor Stephen Macht, was born to Jewish parents, Janette and Jerome Irving Macht, is of Russian Jewish descent, and in 2013 earned a master's degree in Jewish Studies and was ordained a rabbi. The 2011 Jewish-press column cited by Wikipedia for the statement that Macht's family is Jewish likewise describes his mother, the museum curator and archivist Suzanne Victoria Pulier, as Jewish.
