How & why

Boris Podolsky was a physicist best known as a co-author, with Einstein and Nathan Rosen, of the 1935 'EPR' paper, which used a thought experiment to argue that quantum mechanics gives an incomplete description of reality — a foundation of the modern study of entanglement. He held professorships in the United States, including at the University of Cincinnati. Born to a Jewish family in the Russian Empire and emigrating to the U.S., he was of documented Jewish origin.
