Berechiah ha-Nakdan was a Jewish fabulist, grammarian and translator active in England and Normandy in the late twelfth or thirteenth century, best known for the Mishle Shu'alim ('Fox Fables'), a celebrated Hebrew collection of animal fables drawing on Aesopic and medieval sources (including Marie de France). He also translated scientific and philosophical works into Hebrew. He was a rabbi and Hebrew scholar.
