Arthur Stanley Goldberger was an American econometrician at the University of Wisconsin–Madison who helped shape modern econometric theory, co-building the Klein–Goldberger macroeconomic model with Nobel laureate Lawrence Klein and writing classic textbooks including 'Econometric Theory' and 'A Course in Econometrics.' He was also a sharp critic of misuses of statistics in debates over heritability of IQ. He was of Jewish heritage.
