Yvan Attal

Yvan Attal is a French actor, screenwriter and director who won the César for Most Promising Actor for Un monde sans pitié (1989) and made his directing debut with Ma femme est une actrice (2001). He was born in Tel Aviv to Algerian-Jewish parents and grew up on the outskirts of Paris; he is Jewish. He is a prominent figure of French cinema, often working with his partner Charlotte Gainsbourg.
