Viktor Ullmann is recognized among Jewish contributors to Arts & Literature — Classical composer (Der Kaiser von Atlantis)
Viktor Ullmann was a Silesia-born Austrian composer, conductor and pianist, a pupil of Schoenberg, who while imprisoned at the Theresienstadt ghetto made perhaps the most significant contribution of any individual to its musical life — including the opera 'Der Kaiser von Atlantis' — before being murdered at Auschwitz in 1944. Both his parents came from Jewish families who had converted to Catholicism before his birth.
