How & why

Tristan Tzara (born Samuel Rosenstock) was a poet and one of the founders of Dada, the anti-establishment art movement launched in Zurich in 1916 that used absurdity and chance to challenge conventional art and reason. His manifestos and performances shaped twentieth-century avant-garde culture. He was born into a Romanian Jewish family.
