Biography

Talmon Marco is recognized among Israeli contributors to Technology & Engineering — Israeli founder of Viber, of the ride-hailing service Juno and of the green-hydrogen company H2Pro.

How & why

An Israeli entrepreneur and former chief information officer of the IDF's Central Command, Talmon Marco co-founded Viber, the messaging and calling app used by hundreds of millions, sold to Rakuten in 2014 for $900 million. He then turned to the street: Juno, his ride-hailing service launched in New York in 2016, was built on a simple heresy — treat the drivers well — offering lower commissions and equity to its drivers, and was acquired by Gett. His current venture, H2Pro, develops high-efficiency green-hydrogen production.
