Newman, an American singer-songwriter and film composer from a Jewish family (part of a Hollywood-composing dynasty), is celebrated for his ironic, character-driven songs and his richly orchestrated film scores. He wrote the music for many Pixar and Disney films, including the 'Toy Story' series and 'Monsters, Inc.,' winning multiple Academy Awards.
