How & why

Otto Szász was a Hungarian-American mathematician known for work in real and complex analysis, including the Müntz–Szász theorem on the completeness of powers and contributions to summability and Fourier analysis. Dismissed from Germany under the Nazi regime, he emigrated and taught at the University of Cincinnati. He was Jewish.
