Omer Adam was born in North Carolina in 1993 to Israeli parents and came to Israel at three, growing up in Mishmar HaShiv'a. His father's family are Mountain Jews of the Caucasus, his mother's Ashkenazi. He came to notice through the talent show Kokhav Nolad and built a style that fuses Mizrahi music with Western pop. 'Shnei Meshugaim' became the best-selling Israeli song of its period, outselling the 2018 Eurovision winner; Ynetnews called him Israel's most famous singer in 2023, and he sold out Madison Square Garden in 2025.
