Lisa Randall

Randall, raised in a Jewish family in Queens, is a leading American theoretical physicist and the Frank B. Baird Professor of Science at Harvard. She is best known for the Randall-Sundrum models, which use a warped extra dimension to address why gravity is so much weaker than the other forces. Her books on particle physics and cosmology have brought fundamental physics to a wide public.
