Judah Messer Leon was a Renaissance-era Italian Jewish physician, philosopher and rhetorician whose Hebrew treatise 'Nofet Zufim' ('The Book of the Honeycomb's Flow') applied classical Ciceronian and Aristotelian rhetorical theory to the Hebrew Bible — the first Hebrew book on rhetoric and one of the first Hebrew works printed in the author's lifetime. He led yeshivot in several Italian cities. He was Jewish.
