How & why
Jozsef Kiss was a Hungarian poet, one of the first major Hungarian-Jewish literary voices, who drew on Jewish life and folk ballad forms and founded the influential literary journal A Het (The Week). He gave Hungarian poetry a distinctive Jewish presence at the turn of the twentieth century.
