How & why

Lorge was an educational psychologist at Teachers College, Columbia University, who co-developed the Lorge–Thorndike Intelligence Tests and pioneered the scientific measurement of readability, giftedness and human intelligence. He was born into a Jewish family, the son of Solomon and Frieda (Katz) Lorge.
