How & why
Inna Faliks is a Ukrainian-American concert pianist and Professor and Head of Piano at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music, who debuted with the Chicago Symphony at fifteen and is known for programs blending music with spoken narrative. Born into a Jewish family in Odessa, she emigrated as a child refugee to escape antisemitism, an experience recounted in her memoir Weight in the Fingertips.
