Boris Berman is a Russian-born concert pianist and pedagogue renowned for his recordings of Prokofiev, Schnittke, and Shostakovich and for his teaching at the Yale School of Music. After leaving the Soviet Union he built an international career via Israel and the United States. Berman is of Jewish descent, born to a Jewish family in Moscow.
